Team Speak
TeamSpeak is a proprietary audio conferencing over the Internet (Voice over Internet Protocol). It allows you to chat in multiple channels, with other users. To use Teamspeak, each person must have installed on his computer a special application (client). With the latter, it can connect to thousands of servers and TeamSpeak enter a chat room.
The target audience for Teamspeak is basically the players, who can use the software to communicate with other players on the same team in multiplayer games. Communication by voice gives a distinct advantage in competition, allowing players to keep his hands for action in the game, not écrite1 communication.
Historical : TeamSpeak Classic - also known as TeamSpeak 1.5 - was the first official version of the software. Published in October 2001 she was transferred to the foundation TeamSpeak legacy.
Published as "Freeware", the first version already includes a client-server structure, a channel management, user administration, and support cross-platform (Windows and Linux). This version is no longer supportée2.
TeamSpeak 3 is in development since 2005 and will be cross-platform, its release, originally planned for 2008, was postponed until 2009. TeamSpeak 3 is released December 19, 2009, and remained considered a beta version until 20113. No interoperability between the client and server versions of TeamSpeak 2 and 3 is possible, so this is two distinct ecosystems.
The new version has several new features such as support of BBcode, a structure in C + +, a Compatibility Macintosh, Windows and Linux (32 & 64 bit) 4.
