Introduction

Mumble is a voice communication software like Ventrilo and TeamSpeak to. It is used by most of the French community and international FOnline: 2238. The latest software is version 1.2.3.

Mumble is somehow an indispensable tool in team play, especially for PvP. Indeed, FOnline: 2238 has insufficient means of communication (chat box) to circulate information quickly within a team.

4) Define a shortcut to "whisper":

In mumble, there are two ways of speaking:
Fashion whisper (whisper): You can go only to members in the same channel as you.
Fashion speak (shout): You're talking to all members of the channels related to yours.

In addition, for each mode, there are two ways of speaking:
Voice Activity: You define in advance a decibel threshold, turn on your microphone and automatically transmit when pressed exceeded this threshold.
Push to talk: You define in advance a shortcut to manually trigger the microphone opening.

The first thing to do is to configure mumble and whisper in world push-to-talk.

Set up Mumble in "push-to-talk":

Go to Configure> Settings
In the tab "Audio" (in the menu on the left), choose the mode of transmission "Push To Talk" from the dropdown menu.
Then go to the tab "Shortcut" (in the menu on the left), select the "whisper / shout". For data, select "current" by clicking the 3 dots (red arrow in Pic 2).



Then set the desired shortcut (CTRL RIGHT in the example), do not forget to confirm by pressing OK at the bottom.

5) Good to know:

1) To disable those annoying female voices, go to "Configure" and disable "Voice Synthesis".

2) If mumble is not French, or if you prefer another language, you can choose your default language in "Configure"> "Settings"> "User Interface".

i've done it :)

I think Teamspeak is better than Mumble. Teamspeak is more easy to configure server groups, ranks and other.

But mumble is cheaper than team speak :D !
